Gerotora asks Oogamasennin if he should really be given to Naruto as Jiraiya wished. The great toad sennin asks that Naruto be brought before him for a future foretelling. In Konoha, Karin cries to her interrogators about how she was exploited by Orochimaru and Sasuke. Some of the interrogators express sympathy but Ibiki asks that she cut the crap and warns his men to not fall for her tears. Karin stops her crying and offers that she'll talk in exchange for food. At the Hokage residence, Shizune warns the famished Tsunade to slow down in her eating, but the Hokage continues to power through her meal.
Kakashi enters and explains how he was close to becoming Hokage, but surmises he wasn't fit for the position anyway. He goes on to explain that Madara is behind Akatsuki and Tsunade directs everyone to prepare for the alliance. At Ichiraku, Naruto happily exclaims hearing that Tsunade has recovered. Sakura smiles and Teuchi says such news means the ramen is on the house. Later at the war planning session, Tsunade and the council directs the gathered ninja on how to prepare for the upcoming conflict. Shikaku offers to Shikamaru that he feels his son is still too young but he'll need to pay attention. Shikamaru offers that he's ready and memorizing everything.
At Ichiraku, Teuchi sets down a bowl and Naruto happily thanks him for his meal. He suddenly poofs away and begins to gulp down his meal. The taste shocks him into noticing he's now at Shima's dinner table. The toad exclaims happiness that Naruto finally likes her worm soup. Naruto asks why he's there and Fukasaku explains how he reverse summoned Naruto so he could see the great sennin. A short time later Naruto greets the toad who asks who he is again? Naruto explains who he is and the sage apologizes. He declares that Naruto will meet an octopus and then battle a young man with powerful eyes. Naruto interjects that he knows about the latter part and the toad sage asks if he knows what he is? Naruto offers that he's prepared and the great toad states that he also foresaw Gerotora being given to Naruto. Gerotora reluctantly accepts the decision and unfurls himself for Naruto. Naruto asks what the scroll is and the toad explains how it's a seal which could fully release the Kyuubi, and it's the key to finishing "that jutsu" if he wanted. Elsewhere Anko and her team inspect the fallen bodies of the Waterfall ninja killed by Kabuto. They debate why he would leave the bodies behind and Anko wonders aloud who he will go after next. Elsewhere Kabuto offers that he thought he should first greet Tobi, or should he call him Madara? Madara voices surprise that he was found, but Kabuto offers that he has been a spy for numerous villages and people.

Suddenly five coffins spring from the ground before him and Madara exclaims surprise at the jutsu known only to Orochimaru and the Second Hokage. From the coffins steps the resurrected cloaked forms of Nagato, Deidara, Kakuzu, Sasori and Itachi. Kabuto offers that he perfected Edo Tensei and is doing it now just for Madara as a sign of his power and trust. Madara asks him why use it if not to fight? Kabuto declares he would like to join forces...
