Looking for other avenues to track down Sasuke, Shino suggested they hunt the Bikochou. This was a rare bug which had excellent sent tracking abilities. When the team found the Bikochou's habitat, they learned rival bug users from Hidden Rock were also trying to find it. The team eventually found the Bikochou, but Naruto's clueless actions ruined their one chance to use its powerful scent tracking.
