At Myouboku, Gerotora crawls down the throat of a gagging Naruto. As tears and drool flow, Naruto finally manages to swallow the key scroll toad. Naruto asks Oogamasennin for a hint about finding the octopus, and the elder offers that he'll be found at a solitary island, a paradise for all manner of creatures. Naruto imagines a tropical resort and happily affirms his understanding. Fukasaku forms a hand seal and Naruto instantly returns to his seat at Ichiraku, surprising fellow patrons. The patrons recognize Naruto and ask for autographs. Naruto blushes and offers that he's not used to that type of reaction.
Teuchi smiles at the villager's change in opinion towards Naruto and interjects that they'll get nothing until Naruto can finish his ramen. Naruto exclaims happily that he can finally eat and we advance in time three days to the Kage meeting. Raikage offers that everyone arrived early and Gaara says such haste is needed. Tsuchikage asks Tsunade if she's still capable of acting at Hokage at her age and she questions such words coming from him. Mizukage suggests Tsunade is a welcome presence over Danzou. Mifune calls the meeting to order and Tsunade reveals they may have found Akatsuki's base but need more information. Raikage offers that they're also gathering intel, which Mizukage suggests would go better if they unify those forces.
Tsuchikage suggests that should work and asks where they should hide the Jinchuuriki? Tsunade and the Raikage are thrown by such a suggestion and the Hokage demands to know why they shouldn't use their full strength? Gaara offers that the war is to protect the Jinchuuriki and reminds her that the decisions will be made by majority. This angers Tsunade but Gaara reminds her that he knows Naruto; he'll do stupid things for his comrades which is a problem. Tsunade finally accedes to the position and Tsuchikage offers that she still has fire in her after all. The Raikage suggests they hide the two Jinchuuriki in the Lightning Country, since it has not given rise to any Akatsuki, on an isolated island where he and Bee train. A short time passes and Naruto, Yamato and several other Leaf travel by boat through a foggy sea. Naruto explains to Yamato the octopus prophecy and offers approval at being sent on a secret mission to a paradise like the elder foretold.
Yamato ponders that Naruto doesn't yet realize the true nature of the trip and a Cloud ninja announces they have arrived. As the fog clears Naruto smiles in excitement... which is suddenly shattered by the jagged peaks, roars and skeletons he sees on the violent island before him. The Cloud offers that it's like their Forest of Death; it's a refuge for the animals that live there. Naruto angrily yells to the elder that this is no paradise. As the Cloud begins to offer a warning, gigantic tentacles rise from the water around them. Naruto raises his arms in amazement and asks for direction but Yamato identifies the beast as a squid. Naruto is confused and the Cloud ninja warns this was what they should watch out for.
Naruto begins to count the tentacles and Yamato warns that it's not the right number, they should take it out. Naruto says they should make sure, as squid have ten tentacles and octopi eight. He's soon grabbed by a tentacle and flung into the air. Suddenly Hachibi locks tentacles with the creature and raps that the squid should watch himself. The Leaf are thrown by the new arrival and Naruto happily announces it has the correct number of arms. The Cloud identifies Killer Bee and Yamato is shocked at his appearance. Emerging from Hachibi, Bee rhymes that the fools are late!
